When we talk about the Innovation department of Grupo STT, it comprises a group of creative, innovative people and developers of tools that simplify traditionally manual processes and turn them into an opportunity for improvement.
The department was formed in 2016, in order to solve the development of products towards our clients.
We currently have a team of more than 25 people focused solely on innovation. The headquarters of our Innovation area is located in Costa Rica, but we have highly trained human resources with a focus on Colombia, Dominican Republic and Uruguay. Our coverage area is regional.
This department has allowed us to:

What led Grupo STT to develop innovative in-house tools?
Over time the needs of our clients had increased and the software always implied a significant challenge in the customization of their modules, reason why the decision is made to make our internal products, which allows us to expand the framework for the development and fulfillment of its requirements.
Having our own tools ensured us we had a team with a greater knowledge about the business, aligned with the company´s organizational objectives and with knowledge about our clients, which allows us to carry out the development of a better product towards these.
Our tools use the highest standards of security and service levels, among which stand out:
- Protection against web service attacks.
- Data Centers and Redundancy, which includes data duplication, disaster recovery, and failover.
- SSL encryption of web accesses.
- Access only through a web application. (We don’t have local tools)
- Strong password policies. Automatic blocking after failed attempts.
- Back-ups and 24/7 information backups.
What processes does each tool solve?
- APS self-management portal: With APS, the process is automated in a simple, agile way and with all the centralized information of the talents. APS, helps you to perform all the calculations you need according to the current regulations of your country. We also offer a Self-Management module, for processes (holidays, proof of payment, leaves, etc.)
- Team Planning: Web-based system that allows us to control and monitor: Registration of employees and hierarchies, registration of activities in calendar, key compliance metrics by role, performance indicators, approvals and rejections, synchronized with ERP and Google Calendar, in addition to Payment of Human Resources variables.
- Planning NOW: It is designed to help teams and organizations improve operational efficiency by tracking projects and workflows, data visualization and team collaboration. It includes automation capabilities and supports integrations with other work applications.
- Easy Expenses: It is a development tool based on a web browser, which allows us to: control over advance payments, expenses control, traceability and settlement, authorizations and rejections, supervisors, backups with images or by camera, reduction of times in settlements, improved and automatic accounting, reports and indicators.
- Simple pay: With Simple Pay the security, integrity and balance of your account statements (accounting) is guaranteed through a structured network.
