Tatiana Suarez is a publicist from Bogota that made one of the most important decisions of her work and personal life; settling down in another country to face one of the most promising challenges of her career. Her routine and achievements as commercial advisor of the subsidiary of Grupo STT Colombia gave her the opportunity in 2018 to be the new manager of the office that was being set up in Santiago de Chile.
“At first it was not easy, you test yourself with many things, arriving in a country that even though we speak the same language we have a different culture and idioms. Meet challenges and goals of an organization and we will always want more, but also leaving your family, your life itself was maybe the most difficult decision but their support was vital and that gave me the strength to travel” stated”, Tatiana.

Challenge Colombia: Leader´s key points in times of pandemic
Ricardo Zamora is a Costa Rican that has nearly a decade of working in Grupo STT, and that at the beginning of 2020 (without knowing we were going to face Covid-19 pandemic) crossed borders to manage the office in Colombia, but due to his current life situation, he went to Colombian territory to move forward with the second parent company of Grupo STT.
“The experience of working with the Costa Rican team laid the foundation to be able to successfully join the Colombian team. The primary step is to get to know the team, its needs, goals and work style. From there on, the lessons learned in previous years has allowed me to replicate processes and strategies adapted to the environment´s new reality, achieving in a very short period of time a motivated, committed and satisfied staff”, Zamora pointed out.

Leonardo Hernandez is a Costa Rican business administrator with more than 15 years of work experience, of which more than twelve have been dedicated to Grupo STT, where he has led projects for several countries of the continent. The most challenging, to lead the office of Argentina and Paraguay, leaving a lifetime in Central America to fly to the Tierra del Fuego and add a new rewarding experience.
“My career has evolved thanks to the fact that I made the to leave my comfort zone and break paradigms. Get out, adapt and face new scenarios became a tool that I use every day having a direct relationship with new cultures, highly developed and competitive markets in different environments.
In my particular case, the organization bet on an expansion hand in hand with talent that knew the company´s DNA and that met those characteristics for the position”, pointed out Hernandez.
